We have noted how believing is seeing and also considered speaking in relation to believing. Today let us consider our actions in relation to believing.

It has been said, “Your belief drives your behavior.” [source: Paul Martinelli] If that is so, what is the belief most driving the actions of our life?

Though some may be coerced by some means to do things they do not truly believe in, it is what we do truly believe in that has the power to compel our life actions regardless of the influences around us. Actions reveal the character of our life. (i.e. Matthew 7:16-17) What we believe is made manifest in the manner in which we live. (i.e. James 2:18) Therefore it is important to live mindful of what we do most believe since it most impacts what we will most do! Is what we believe truly worth living for? Is what we believe truly worth dying for? Whether we live or die, is it to the Lord? (Romans 14:8)

Jesus marked the relationship in expressing to His disciples. . .

(15) If you love me, you will keep my commandments. (John 14:15 ESV) [Tom Green 06/01/2019]

And John wrote. . .

(3) And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. (1 John 2:3 ESV)

Do we truly know the Lord? Do we truly believe in Him as our Lord and Savior? Do we then truly love Him Who first loved us? (1 John 4:19) All of that will be reflected in our desire to seek to please Him by doing His Will! How much we believe in the Lord will be revealed in how we truly live for Him and act in accordance with His Will! Therefore, may we truly believe and so act!
