THE BEGINNING AND THE BETTER!

(8) Better is the end of a thing than its beginning, and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit. (Ecclesiastes 7:8 ESV)

In order to come to the end of something — to its completion — it must be begun. Without a starting there could be no ending, though how long to that ending may not be fully known at the beginning. Here we are beginning a New Year and we know how long a year is, but we do not have full assurance of how long our life might be. Still, let us not allow that to keep us from stepping into this new day given to us by God which marks the beginning of this New Year. As we step forward in life, let us do so trusting the One Who is able to declare “the end from the beginning. (Isaiah 46:9-10) God holds full view of the span of the days of our life. (Psalm 139:16) Though we have high hopes — some to be realized and some to go unfulfilled — God is fully aware, knowing where His Will and our life will ultimately be brought. In order to come to the end of something — to its completion — it must be begun. Of many things we begin there are points at which we can look back and reflect on where that beginning has taken us and where it has presently placed us. It is often this which makes the ending better than the beginning because there is more realization of what it has become. Not always fully knowing where something begun will lead, how much might be accomplished, how it might impact others, or for how long it will last, we experience a sense of blessed surprise giving rise to thankfulness to God for His help in making the reality what it is!

May the beginning of this New Year be stepped into trusting the One Who encourages that the best is yet to come. I encourage you to continue pressing onward and upward in trusting faith.

Have a great day TRUSTING THE ONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THE END BRINGS!
