A prayer OF THANKS is something I hope we all frequently offer. There is so much
for which we should give thanks. However, could we also be in need of a prayer FOR
THANKS because of the times we might lose sight of the blessings that are ours or
begin to take some of them for granted? Someone has offered the words of such a
prayer in saying, “Thou who has given so much to me, give me one more thing — a
grateful heart!” [George Herbert]

Considering this reminded me of the words of Agur where he prayed. . .
“(7) Two things I ask of you; deny them not to me before I die: (8) Remove far
from me falsehood and lying; GIVE ME NEITHER POVERTY NOR RICHES; feed me
with the food that is needful for me, (9) LEST I BE FULL AND DENY YOU and say,
