There are some people who “show up” and think that is all that is expected of them. There are others who “show off”and think because they were noticed for something they’ve done their greatest work. Then there are those who “show faith” by the daily actions of their life (i.e. James 2:18 & 26); they are the ones who show up in life and show off the compelling power of a God connected life by walking in the works God prepared for them to do. (Ephesians 2:10)
Writing to the church at Corinth, Paul urged. . .
“(58) Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58 ESV)
Being “steadfast” and “immoveable” does not mean to be superglued to a church pew, but refers to being firm in the faith of the Gospel of Jesus (1 Corinthians 15:1-5) and unmoved from the hope of eternal life through Jesus’ victory over death. (1 Corinthians 15:50-57) Living life based on that solid foundation provides the support for a living faith shown through abounding in the Lord’s work! May this evidence of God be witnessed by the manner in which we daily live!
Have a great day EXEMPLIFYING A FAITH THAT WORKS!
